What would happen if we put the candy heart in cold water?
I wonder if the results would be different if we used warm water?
We made predictions.

Plan, Do, Review ...
This activity was a great opportunity to use their planning skills and give purpose to their play. Many children used their problem solving skills to share materials, modify building plans that were not working and ask for help when needed. We have collected their "blueprints" and made a book of building plans. I wonder what they will do next........

Valentine's Day is around the corner!
The students are looking forward to Valentine's Day on February 14th.
We have prepared our Valentine mailboxes. Thank you to everyone who brought in shoe boxes for this craft! For all those who would like to bring in valentines for their classmates, there are 31 children in our class. It is easier for the children to pass out cards that are addressed "To my friend" rather than each individual name. Just a reminder that our school encourages non-food item treats. Some ideas of non-food item treats are stickers, pencils, tattoos, straws, notepads... Thank you so much for your support in this matter.
